We are partnered with Stripe to manage Texta Patrol subscriptions and payments. This means we do not store nor have access to your credit card details at any time!

Create an Account

  1. The registration process starts with choosing a plan at textapatrol.com.

  2. After choosing a plan you will be sent to checkout to enter your e-mail. Make sure the entered e-mail address is correct!

  3. After completing the checkout you will receive an e-mail with a link to finalize your registration & log in.

Important

  • For all new users we offer free 14 day trial period without having to share your credit card details!

  • You can end your subscription before the trial ends!

  • Not sure what plan to choose? No problem, plans can always be changed in our Stripe customer portal.

Set Up Facebook Pages

Facebook Login

Setting up your Facebook pages for moderation starts with logging in to Facebook with a user who has administrator privileges for the pages you want to use.

When logging in you will be asked to select the pages to moderate and approve permissions for the selected pages. In order for Texta patrol to work correctly it requires access to:

  • list your Facebook pages,

  • receive comments from Facebook via webhooks,

  • read & perform actions on comments.

Important

  • Select all the required permissions during login!

  • Make sure to log in to Facebook in the Texta Patrol application!

  • Facebook user must have admin privileges for the page!

  • The application does not store any credentials except for app-based page token which is used for managing page comments.

Choose a Language

After logging in to Facebook & listing your pages you are required to set the language (or a combination of languages) of the comments on the page. If a combination of languages is selected, an AI model predicts the language (and it might not be always correct).

Important

  • Without choosing the language Texta Patrol does not analyze the comments!

  • Feel free to explore: language choice can be changed at any time!

Choose an Action

By default Texta Patrol takes no action if it finds an inappropriate comment.

However, by activating hide offensive comments feature for the page, inappropriate comments will be hidden automatically.

Important

  • When a comment is deleted or hidden in Facebook the event is picked up by our API via webhooks. The update usually takes 1-2 seconds to reach Texta Patrol.

  • Comments posted by the page account are not fetched by Texta Patrol.

  • Hidden comments are only seen by comment author & page administrator.

Invite Team Members

Texta Patrol allows to invite an indefinite number of users from your organization to monitor & manually moderate the comments on your pages. To invite a user, click INVITE USERS in Texta Patrol’s Organization view.

Invited users can only see the Workspace view to:

  • search & read the comments,

  • perform actions on comments.

Important

  • Make sure the entered e-mail address is correct, because an invitation will be sent to the specified address!
